About
L.M. Becker & Co., Inc. is the company that Lyle Becker founded in
1941. Originally the company sold peanuts and gumballs, and slowly
moved into providing novelty items. The Toy 'n Joy name came about when
the company began to manufacture and sell metal vending machines -
those machines were called Toy 'n Joy. Over the years strategic
decisions were made to move the Toy 'n Joy name to the forefront.
Now with Lyle's son, Jonathan, as the company President we're moving
back to our roots.
Many people see L.M. Becker and Toy 'n Joy as being synonymous. Others know us as L.M. Becker, and some simply as Toy 'n Joy.
There is a distinction between the two names:
- L.M. Becker
is the company that sells capsuled novelty items to members of the bulk
vending and novelty product industries. L.M. Becker is geared toward our customers - you - the folks who put our capsuled Toy 'n Joy products in vending machines.
- Toy 'n Joy is the brand name of our capsuled products and our face to the general public - "the kids", if you will.
